1What Xpense Manager Pro Is (and Is Not)

Xpense Manager Pro ("XMP", "we", "us") is a local-first personal finance platform built by independent developer Zaf Khan. XMP helps you:

• Track daily expenses, custom categories, and personal budgets.
• Extract UPI transactions locally from PhonePe, Paytm, and Google Pay PDF statements via VibeScan.
• Quickly log transactions hands-free via Voice-to-Expense speech recognition.
• Interact with Riza AI for personal budget summaries and financial health insights.
• Export your transaction data anytime to Excel (.xlsx) or JSON format.

XMP is not an account aggregator, nor does it connect directly to banking rails. You retain full control of entering, reviewing, and confirming every transaction.

2Eligibility & Age Requirements

You must be at least 13 years old to use XMP. If you are under 18 (a minor), you confirm that a parent or legal guardian has reviewed these Terms and agrees to them on your behalf before you use the application.

By using XMP, you represent and warrant that you have the right, authority, and capacity to enter into this agreement under the laws of the Republic of India or your local jurisdiction.

3User Accounts, Authentication & Security

You may use XMP in Guest Mode (100% offline, local-only browser storage) or create a cloud-synced account (Email/Password or Google OAuth).

4Your Data & 100% Ownership

Your expenses, custom categories, monthly budgets, and uploaded statement summaries remain your exclusive property. XMP claims zero ownership over your personal financial data.

• Local-first storage: Stored securely on your device.
• Zero data selling: We never sell, rent, monetize, or broker your financial records to data aggregators or advertisers.
• No public AI training: Your financial entries are never used to train public LLMs or machine learning models.

5Acceptable Use Policy

You agree to use XMP solely for lawful personal and household finance tracking. You agree NOT to:

• Use XMP to facilitate money laundering, tax evasion, fraud, or illegal transactions under Indian or international law.
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract proprietary source code from the application.
• Scrape, overload, or interfere with our backend servers, AI proxies, or authentication endpoints.
• Attempt to bypass subscription restrictions or exploit rate limits.
• Resell, sublicense, or commercially exploit XMP or its features without prior written permission.

7AI Features & Probabilistic Output

XMP integrates artificial intelligence for Voice-to-Expense transcription, Riza AI financial summaries, and VibeScan categorization. AI models are probabilistic: they may occasionally misread an amount, mishear an accent, or mis-categorize a merchant.

• Mandatory User Review: You must review and confirm all AI-extracted transactions before saving them to your records.
• No Financial Warranty: AI outputs are for informational convenience only and should not be relied upon for accounting, tax auditing, or legal purposes.
• Temporary Downtime: AI features may experience latency or outages during upstream provider maintenance without affecting local manual expense logging.

8Strict AI Privacy Safeguard (What is NEVER Shared)

9VibeScan (Client-Side Statement Parsing)

VibeScan processes PDF statements from PhonePe, Google Pay, and Paytm 100% locally inside your browser.

• Your statement password is used strictly in local RAM to decrypt the document and is never sent over the network.
• No bank statement files, transaction dumps, or decrypted pages are saved on our servers.

10Web Push Notifications & Reminders

XMP uses Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) for opt-in notifications (e.g., daily expense reminders, budget threshold alerts, and scheduled bill alerts). You can enable or disable these notifications anytime via in-app Settings or your browser permission panel.

11Data Backup, Export & Service Availability

You may export your transaction logs to Excel (.xlsx) or JSON format anytime. While we strive for continuous availability, XMP is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We do not guarantee that the service will be completely uninterrupted or error-free.

Because your financial data is stored locally in your browser, you can continue tracking expenses offline even during internet outages or cloud server downtime.

12Disclaimers of Warranties

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:

Xpense Manager Pro and all content, AI features, and services are provided without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, statutory, or otherwise, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that calculations, AI advice, or categorization suggestions will meet your specific financial needs.

13Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, in no event shall Zaf Khan, Xpense Manager Pro, or affiliates be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages (including lost profits, lost data, or personal financial loss) arising from your use of or inability to use the service.

14Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of India, without regard to conflict of law rules.

• Informal resolution: You agree to first contact us at support@xpensemanagerpro.in to attempt an amicable resolution before initiating any formal proceeding.
• Jurisdiction: Any unresolved dispute arising out of or related to these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts located in India.
